Promote Top Mafia Bonus
Lots of players wonder about the their top mafia and promoting them. The most bonus you can get is
11% - Mastermind
11% - Wheelman
11% - Buttonman
11% - Bodyguard
15% - Safecracker
15% - Bagman
If you promote someone to one of these positions and they are not giving you the top percentage of a bonus it is a good idea to go back and check on them periodically. The bonus might have increased and the game does not automatically increase the percentage for you. You have to repromote them to that position to get the higher new bonus.
Lots of players wonder what do I need to do to get a higher percentage.
Mastermind is based on the number of jobs completed. Level does not matter (though it follows that higher levels will likely have more completed jobs.) It does not require a specific character type — Maniac, Mogul & Fearless can all be promoted to this position. Max bonus is 11%

What if you are trying to promote someone of the Fearless character type to your Wheelman and you still get the unavailable message? And you had another mafia in the position before and just are trying to put a better player there.

Is there any way to “sort” your mafia members on any of the fields displayed? There is no clickable link but maybe a direct web address would allow you to sort by Successful Heists for example. This would also be helpful if you were trying to send a specific gift to a person.
Having 20+ pages of mafia members looking for the highest numbers in each of these categories is a bit of a pain and trying to find a specific person is even more of a pain :)

I’m level 400 and my character only gives 14% as bagman — I don’t get it :(
Molly, You give 15%. If someone added you when you gave 14% they will need to promote someone else to that spot then re-promote you to get the 15%.
I can’t seem to promote to all six positions. I did it once and only because I did it in a certain order. Although that probably isn’t why it worked. How though do I get six people promoted into all six positions?
Dave428, some positions can only be filled by specific character types. Wheelman = Fearless, Buttonman = Maniac, Bagman = Moguls, the other positions can be filled by any type.

Does the “Fights Won” total include New York AND Cuba? Or is everything just based on New York?
Fights won includes all locations. The cuban fights are tracked for the achievement.
Can I tell who has promoted me to their top mafia? I know (from the achievement) that 6 people have - but I don’t know who - or which positions.
There isn’t any way to tell who has promoted you. Sometimes when you do a job you will get a bonus for being in someone’s top mafia. But that’s about the only clue you will ever see as to what positions you might have been promoted.
Does it matter if you are promoted by more people let’s say for the wheelman position?do your chances to do jobs for no energy increase?just hit level 300 and was wondering if I should bother advertising it so people would nominate me as their wheelman…lol

I’ve all the top mafia and all I got until now is bonus from bagman only I didn’t got any bonus from wheelman or mastermind ??
I have 688 mafia members. The people within my mafia seem to be shuffled around, sometimes their statistics count and sometimes they don’t. Are the players randomly chosen? Do my promoted members remain the only constant? Thanks for all the answers….
How do I tell how many Top Mafia positions I hold?
